Job Title: Financial Controller
Location: Remote
Reports To: VP of Finance and HR
Position Summary:
The Financial Controller will be a critical member of the finance leadership team, overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance. In addition to traditional controller duties, this role will be instrumental in systems implementations, M&A activity, and enhancing financial processes to support the company’s continued expansion. Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of financial accounting, including month-end and year-end close processes, financial reporting, and audits.

Lead process improvements and systems implementations to enhance efficiency, scalability, and financial integrity.

Manage M&A financial integration activities, including due diligence, financial modeling, and post-acquisition integration.

Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls, supporting audit and regulatory requirements.

Provide senior leadership with financial insights, forecasts, and strategic recommendations.

Optimize financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to support a high-growth and fast-paced environment.

Collaborate cross-functionally to align financial processes with business objectives.

Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

CPA preferred; Big 4 public accounting and industry experience strongly preferred.

8+ years of relevant experience, including leadership roles in high-growth companies.

Experience working in a private-equity-backed portfolio company preferred.

Strong technical accounting knowledge, including GAAP compliance and financial reporting.

Proven experience with ERP and financial systems implementations.

M&A experience, including due diligence and post-acquisition integration preferred.

Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and financial transformation.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with a collaborative and hands-on approach.
