Job Title: Financial Controller
Location: Remote
Reports To: VP of Finance and HR

Position Summary:

The Financial Controller will be a critical member of the finance leadership team, overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance. In addition to traditional controller duties, this role will be instrumental in systems implementations, M&A activity, and enhancing financial processes to support the company’s continued expansion. This position provides significant opportunities for professional growth and development as the company scales its operations.​​

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of financial accounting, including month-end and year-end close processes, financial reporting, and audits.

  • Lead process improvements and systems implementations to enhance efficiency, scalability, and financial integrity.

  • Manage M&A financial integration activities, including due diligence, financial modeling, and post-acquisition integration.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls, supporting audit and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide senior leadership with financial insights, forecasts, and strategic recommendations.

  • Optimize financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to support a high-growth and fast-paced environment.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align financial processes with business objectives.

  • Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

  • CPA preferred; Big 4 public accounting and industry experience strongly preferred.

  • 8+ years of relevant experience, including leadership roles in high-growth companies.

  • Experience working in a private-equity-backed portfolio company preferred.

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, including GAAP compliance and financial reporting.

  • Proven experience with ERP and financial systems implementations.

  • M&A experience, including due diligence and post-acquisition integration preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and financial transformation.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a collaborative and hands-on approach.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
